Coach Purse Style 4133 Year 2009

Between a yes and no, Mirafiori, Italy has lost another piece of freedom

I have followed with concern the developments of the Mirafiori plant, but I had never expressed an opinion before, because it seemed disrespectful to make judgments on something they do not know personally, not as I had never worked assembly line and not knowing in the least, then, what this means.

That's why I do not mean the merits of the contents of the agreement: I think these can be discussed in the appropriate forum, but I do not think that the real scandal of the affair Mirafiori.

What left me more upset, these days, it was the situation where have been the workers, who had to decide their future with a loaded gun pointed at him.

"if you vote yes you will continue to work, if you vote no, the factory closes."

I do not know anything about economics, and market and productivity, but I do not care: I make this, my home, I call it blackmail.

How is it possible to base the future of Italian industry on an agreement signed in this way? How can people think that, confronted with this choice, they can express their views in a serene?

The problem is not the result of the referendum, nor the content of the agreement: the problem is that at this point we just had to get there. Because with a rifle behind even the most bell'accordo the world would become a farce.

I, as I said, I'm not an expert on the market, but I got some very personal conclusions: if China is the threat, we can not expect to beat on productivity, because it is not unimaginable. How can you compete with those who deny the most basic rights to workers? Who keeps ridiculous salaries in the name of the production?

We must aim for quality rather than quantity.
And the quality is also made and especially the people who produce the goods.

I wrote capital letters, that "people", because too often we forget that those men and women, even before workers are human beings with a life, a family, a story.

Il'900 gave the West the knowledge that workers are the engine of the company and as individuals, can not be exploited, or humiliated. In the name of productivity we are making huge steps backwards, why put people in front of a choice like Mirafiori means taking away their freedom to think calmly about a decision.

I know, again, that competition is fierce, but I know equally well that the Western industry can not afford to lose contact with its workers can not afford to put aside democracy, because that would mean the end .

Yesterday evening, watching the news, I saw the faces of the workers who were waiting for the outcome of the polls. Faces were strained, desperate, but full of dignity that now, in our country, has become rare. Faces that were waiting for an opinion on their fate, and made him head-on in silence.

E 'from the faces that we have to leave, finding the humanity a country that now seems lost.

We try to identify ourselves, although it is difficult, since yesterday voted "no", knowing that it meant losing your job, to tell us that this can not go, to tell us that any decision taken under blackmail is a thing to be servants, not free people. While the agreement is good, even if the productivity demands it, because nothing can be considered more important than freedom and dignity of a person.

And we try to put ourselves in the many who voted yes, under the weight of responsibility that was not just about their future, but Italy whole. Maybe they wanted to change something, maybe you would prefer to discuss some points, but this option was not covered. And they voted yes, yes for their families, because there are rents to be paid, and to send children to school.

I think, beyond the outcome and whatever it was, at Mirafiori we lost a bit 'all of us, because we have allowed, once again, that freedom of choice and discussion give way to a market that has less and less human.
